Xiaomi is on a launch spree this year as the company is launching back to back devices in every price category. The Redmi S2 will be a budget smartphone with a design similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Today, the high-resolution hands-on images of the phone were posted on an Android-related website from the Czech Republic along with the detailed specifications. This reveals everything that we like to know about the phone.
The Xiaomi Redmi S2 has the same design from the front as the Redmi Note 5 Pro. There is an 18:9 display with noticeable bezels on the sides. The phone has on-screen navigation buttons, and the fingerprint scanner is on the rear. The Volume rockers are present on the right along with the power button, and the phone has a metal build.
Coming to the specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi S2, it has a 5.99-inch 18:9 display with a resolution of 1440x720p, i.e., an HD+ display. Powering the phone, there is a Snapdragon 625 processor under the hood with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. A massive 4,205mAh battery is present inside which is enough to last two days on normal use, thanks to the power efficient Snapdragon 625 chipset. On the rear, there is a dual camera setup that includes a primary 12MP camera and the secondary 5MP camera for depth information. There could be a 16MP front camera.
