DisplayMate has already tested the upcoming OnePlus 8 phones and announced that they have excellent screens. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau chimed in to say that the OnePlus 8 Pro broke 13 display performance records. DisplayMate is talking about the "OnePlus 8 series", which suggests that the vanilla OnePlus 8 is a couple of records short of what its Pro sibling achieved.
