Oppo R9's Ultra-fast fingerprint scanner will unlock in 0.2 seconds

Since a past few weeks, Oppo is constantly teasing the specifications of its upcoming flagship device, the R9. Previous leaks showed a device with a full metal build and a screen with negligible bezels. A new leak has suggested that the Oppo R9 will feature a super-fast fingerprint sensor that will unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds! The device is yet to be announced on 17th March but it seems that company has started a new teaser campaign. 

The R9 will feature a fingerprint sensor, this time on the front which will also serve as the home button.So, just place your finger on the fingerprint scanner and the device will unlock in milliseconds!( Sounds like a Sci-Fi Movie, Isn't it?) Also, another teaser has suggested that the R9 will feature the option to make payments just as we have seen in Apple devices and Samsung devices. So, it seems Oppo will launch its own mobile payment service with the launch of the R9 as the Apple Pay, Samsung pay and yesterday launched Huawei Pay.

The fingerprint sensor is oval in shape, similar to one present on the Meizu devices. So, The shape lies between the round scanner on Apple and  flat scanner on Samsung. Seems like Oppo is thinking of giving competition to Samsung and Apple in design too ! Well, Oppo has not yet officially confirmed that R9 Plus is also on its way for the launch, but as the previous trend, it seems we may see an upgraded version of the R9 with a bigger screen and a bigger battery for sure. 

                  Now, as far as pricing is concerned, the R9 will be a highly priced device, for sure ! The pricing could go upto $450 or even more for the upgraded version.(If it is announced!) Well, we have to wait for the official launch.Till then stay tuned !
